Colorado Springs' Humane Wildlife Specialists
When Eric Calderon started Wildguard Wildlife Removal in 2011, Colorado Springs homeowners had two bad options: call a pest exterminator who treated raccoons like roaches, or a general handyman who'd patch a hole and hope for the best. Neither solved the real problem — and neither did it humanely.
Eric had spent years as a licensed wildlife control operator watching animals get harmed unnecessarily and homeowners get the same critter back two months later because no one sealed the entry point. He launched Wildguard on a simple promise: remove the animal humanely, find every way it got in, seal it for good, and warranty the work.
Today, Wildguard is a family-run operation with a team of licensed, background-checked wildlife technicians who live in the same Colorado Springs neighborhoods they serve. We're not an exterminator and we're not a franchise. We're wildlife specialists — and we treat your home, and the animals, the right way.
Whether it's a single squirrel in the soffit or a full attic restoration after a raccoon family, we bring the same care, the same humane standards, and the same guarantee to every job. That's why most of our new customers come from referrals.
"I started this company because I was tired of seeing animals harmed and homeowners sold a quick patch that never lasted. Do it humanely, seal it for good, and stand behind the work. That's the whole job."
— Eric Calderon, Founder
We Respect the Animals as Much as Your Home
Wildlife belongs outside — not harmed, and not trapped in your walls. Every removal we do protects both the homeowner and the animal.
What Makes Us Different
Six reasons Colorado Springs homeowners keep coming back — and keep sending their neighbors our way.
Humane Methods
We use live trapping and one-way exclusion. Animals are removed without harm, and young are never left behind.
Licensed Wildlife Operator
Every job is overseen by a state-licensed Wildlife Control Operator — not an exterminator, not a handyman.
Background-Checked Team
Every technician passes a background check before they enter your home. You know who is at your door.
Exclusion Warranty
We don't just remove the animal — we seal the entry points and back the seal with a written warranty.
24/7 Emergency Response
Animal loose inside the living space? We respond around the clock — including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Locally Owned
Not a franchise. Wildguard has been owned and operated by the Calderon family in Colorado Springs since 2011.

We Live Here Too
Eric volunteers with a local raptor rehabilitation center. Marcus coaches youth soccer in Briargate. Paula organizes the Northgate neighborhood block party every July. We're not just a business in Colorado Springs — we're part of the community we serve, and we care about the wildlife around it.
That's why we care about the reputation we leave behind. Every job we do is a job someone in our neighborhood will talk about. We want them to say: Wildguard showed up on time, did it humanely, sealed it for good, and charged a fair price.
What Colorado Springs Homeowners Say
We had a raccoon and three babies in the attic. Wildguard removed all of them humanely, found the hole behind the gutter we never would have spotted, and sealed it. Six months later — still nothing. Worth every penny.
Bats in the eaves for two summers. An exterminator told us to just live with it. Eric's team installed one-way doors, cleaned up the guano, and sealed the roofline. They actually knew the law on bat exclusion. Total pros.
Squirrels in the soffit, chewed wiring, the works. Wildguard removed them, restored the attic insulation, and gave us a warranty on the exclusion. Marcus walked me through every entry point he sealed. Honest, fair, and thorough.
